Vibe Dance Center

About Us

Welcome to Vibe Dance Center

Vibe Dance Center provides a fresh, innovative dance space to the Green Bay area that allows dancers the opportunity to explore the art and creativity of dance.  Vibe’s goal is focused on encouraging strength within the mind and body to generate new movement and ideas that will assemble stronger, more intelligent dancers. Equality, respect, optimism, and open-heartedness is required by student and instructor to produce continuous growth in a positive environment. Vibe offers dance programs for ages 3-18.  Vibe Dance Center works towards “Guiding Stronger, More Brilliant Dancers”

Kelsey Schutte

Owner/Director/Instructor

Kelsey began her dance education at the age of three where her passion and continuous dedication prepared her to successfully compete in dance competitions, attend master classes, conventions, and intensives around the U.S. She also had the opportunity to attend “Vegas Week” on the hit TV show, So You Think You Can Dance.

While earning a BA in Dance at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, Kelsey performed many different dance works within the dance program as well as outside companies. While in college she pursued her love of teaching at a nearby dance studio and furthered her education by getting certified in Barre Pilates. In addition, she trained at multiple summer dance intensives, one at which she extended her stay through a semester at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, where she pursued her knowledge and love for classical ballet and contemporary dance.

Now settled back in her hometown of Green Bay, WI, Kelsey is married to her high school sweetheart, with who they share three kids and two dogs. She is grateful to be fulfilling her dream of not only being an entrepreneur, but also teaching and guiding dancers to be the best versions of themselves. Kelsey looks forward to another special year of classes full of rigor, focus, creativity, and fun!

Abby Russel

Vibe Instructor

Abby sparked an interest in dance when she took a movement class at two years old.  Years later, her passion grew when she became a student at Vibe Dance Center at age thirteen where she was formally trained in ballet, contemporary, and jazz.  Abby began competing her second year at Vibe, enjoying the rigor, guidance, and friendships.  Throughout high school, Abby completed several competitions and conventions, earning scholarships such as “Cutting Edge in Ballet”, and invitationals to nation competitions.

She began studying part time at St. Norbert College when she was sixteen years old, and by her senior year in high school, she had been cast in the college’s production of Tuck Everlasting, in which she danced the role of young Winnie Foster.  She was praised in critical reviews such as Theatre in N.E.W. and Warren Gerds for her performance.  She is very excited to attend St. Norbert full time where she plans to double major in English and Theatre with hopes of pursuing a career in the performing arts.

Abby is thrilled to be a member of Vibe’s staff, and she hopes to spread her love for dance amongst her students.  When she is not dancing, Abby enjoys reading, long walks with her dog, and watching movies from the 50s.
